The Anti-Racism Steering Group in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at King's College London is pleased to announce that our certified course 'Decolonising Research Methods in Global Health and Social Medicine.’ is open for enrolment.

The course will run from 7th-9th June 2022. From 10:00-16:00 London time. The course will be a hybrid with a mix of in- person and online attendance. It will take place in Waterloo Campus WBW G/552 , and an MS teams link will be sent with a calendar invite.

We will offer the course to undergraduate and postgraduate students from King's College London and peer students from universities in the Global South.

The interactive course aims to bring into conversation diverse decolonising efforts and learn from these ongoing initiatives. We hope to explore the limits of our research methodologies and learn about research practices from different parts of the world. This intensive course will equip you with a solid introductory background on topics related to the history of decolonisation, cultural diversity, decolonisation of theory and epistemology, and research ethics. Experienced scholars will teach the course from KCL and other global North and South institutions.
