On 1st June 2018, graduands of the MA in Defence Studies on the Advanced Command and Staff Course from across the globe will return to the Joint Services Command and Staff College for their graduation ceremony.
The students will begin the day with arrival refreshments and being gowned, they will then be played into the Cormorant Hall by the Oxford String Quartet where everyone will take their seats. They will then be addressed by Dr Robert Foley, Dean of Academic Studies and Professor Evelyn Welch, Senior Vice President and Provost (Arts & Sciences). The presentation of all graduands will follow, along with the presentation of the Sir Michael Howard Prize Winners (the students for best overall academic performance). The closing address will be done by Lord Christopher Geidt, after which will follow a group photograph and reception with music, entertainment and catering.
