We are pleased to confirm the speaker, Dr Michael Borshchevsky, who will deliver the talk and answer your questions on the topic: Evolution of totalitarianism in XXI century - from ideologies and economies to state control, socio-psychological stereotypes and modern technologies.

Michael Borshchevsky worked in the 1950s and 1960s in the field of rocket engineering, then some 25 years as a researcher in the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, and as a lecturer at the Universities of Moscow and Leningrad. His subjects are the socio-economics of regional and urban development. Since the late 1980s Dr. Borshchevsky has worked as a President of the first Anglo-Soviet Trading House, Chairman of the International Corporation "United Europe", sole representative of the Association of the Russian banks abroad, visiting Professor at Westminster University, and Managing Director of Inter TV Ltd UK (4 Russian speaking channels worldwide).

We are delighted that Michael can join us on campus and we hope that you welcome the opportunity to hear about his research, illustrated by examples from his life experience in the Soviet Union, Russia and abroad.
