This course on e-mental health provides a comprehensive, evidence-based and practical introduction to the growing field defined by the interface of technology and mental health. Developments in this area hold promise to improve coordination, quality, personalization, and geographical reach of care, as well as some novel, potentially transformative innovations. A wide range of topics will be covered, including internet-based psychological interventions, smartphone apps, the use of wearable devices, and virtual reality applications within research and treatment. Hands-on experience with the technologies will be an integral component.
