Speaker: Professor Claire GwinnettCriminal Justice and Forensic Science Department, Staffordshire University.

Description: Forensic fibre analysis has been used for over 60 years to help investigate criminal cases but until recently had not been seen as a type of environmental forensic investigation. Work in microplastic pollution has highlighted the abundant amount of microfibres in the environment and the limited knowledge about them. This presentation will talk about how forensic fibre examinations can shed light on microfibre pollution.
