Making music is fun, making music is social, making music is heartening, making music is for everyone. Alex Etchart has toured the world, making music in all kinds of communities where no experience was necessary. Join Alex for an afternoon exploring a capella basslines, beats, riffs, hooks alongside electronic beats, synths and samplers. We will practice writing playful pop songs, arias, jazz anthems about everyday objects. You will go home imagining new songs for weeks to come. Music-making doesn't need to be just for producers, instrumentalists, headphones and speaker systems. We we can all make it every day.

Creativity for wellbeing fact:
Singing is known to release endorphins, the feel-good brain chemical that makes you feel happy. It can also improve your overall brain function and help you think a little clearer.

Make Do Play is produced by the university's culture team for the King's Cultural Community. This session is delivered by Alex Etchart.
