For King's/Language Centre students only
In this workshop we will explore Hispanic societies through the eyes of musicians and songwriters. Through a selected list of songs from different countries and genres, we will analyse how they reflect key cultural themes and current or historical issues that shape Hispanic societies. Thus, participants will discover new artists, gain deeper insights into the Spanish-speaking world, and improve their Spanish skills—all while enjoying the beauty of music. Lyrics will be provided in both Spanish and English, making this workshop accessible to everyone, regardless of language level.
This workshop will be led by Dr. Alejandro Palomares, Lecturer in Spanish Language Education at King’s College London, and a passionate music enthusiast and amateur musician.
