Keynote lecture by Professor Iftekhar Hasan | Fintech and Monetary Policy Transmission
We warmly invite you to the first keynote lecture of the new Qatar Centre for Global Banking and Finance.
The Qatar Centre for Global Banking and Finance is King’s Business School’s newest research centre, dedicated to the study of central banks and the challenges they face in the global environment. It aims to develop cutting-edge research in all areas of central bank policy making, ranging from monetary policy to financial stability and regulation, in partnership with the Qatar Central Bank.
The lecture will conclude the day’s programme for the Centre’s first Policy Lab, focused on financial stability.
Iftekhar Hasan
Iftekhar Hasan is a University Professor and E. Gerald Corrigan Chair in International Business and Finance at Fordham University in New York.
Professor Hasan's research interests are in the areas of financial institutions, corporate finance, capital markets, and emerging economies. He has been involved in numerous academic research grants from different governmental, national, and international science foundations and organizations in the U.S. and abroad.
The event will be followed by a networking reception at 18.00
