You are invited to a free screening of a documentary about a recent study that investigated whether walking regularly can help people with severe mental illness to be more active and healthier.

The film will be introduced by Dr Brendon Stubbs, a researcher at King’s College London and Head of Physiotherapy at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Brendon will discuss some of the latest research on physical activity and mental well being.

The 35-minute film documents an intervention which was trialed with 40 service users in south London with severe mental illness and was designed to support them to be more active.

The film will be followed by a Q+A with the filmmaker and people involved in the project.

All welcome: Service users past and present, family members or carers, members of the public, researchers and health professionals.
