Title FTD- and ALS-causing mutations in CHMP2B and ANXA11 impact a common pathway of membrane repair

Host Elisabetta Brunello

Abstract ESCRT-III is an ancient membrane remodelling machinery that has been co-opted through evolution to perform a variety of cellular membrane remodelling processes. Here we explore pathogenic FTD-causing mutations in the ESCRT-III subunit CHMP2B and use them to understand how cells respond to, and repair, damaged membranes. I’ll also give an overview of other projects in the lab.
