A nurse befriends a dementia patient in her care and ends up organising a camping trip for him to a nearby forest that he associates with his late wife. Kawase focuses on the natural world and our connection to it in order to explore how both characters’ are affected by grief and to consider the affective relationships available to people living with memory problems.
