Governors for Schools is an education charity committed to improving education for children in England and Wales through effective school governance. They find, place and support skilled volunteers as governors on school and academy boards. Their skills-based matching services makes sure you are placed in a school that needs your unique background.

Governors plan the strategic direction of the school, ensure money is well spent and support school leaders. A strong governing board leads to better educational outcomes for children.

King's alumni and staff are invited to join our informational session with Aidan Thomas from Governors for Schools to learn more about the governor role, the professional development opportunity it offers and how you can get involved. You'll also hear from a King's staff member already serving as a school governor and her experience in the role.
