The Integrated Care System Research-Practice Network is a collective of researchers and those in the health and care sector interested in care systems and related research. Each year, we hold two remote events in addition to our annual in-person meeting. Our aims are to pool knowledge, forge connections between research and practice and foster research that addresses the questions to which the sector needs answers. Each meeting involves presentations from expert speakers as well as chances for participants to share news and insights, hear updates on network projects and shape our next steps.
This meeting centres on one of the key challenges facing the system in the light of the Ten Year Plan: driving prevention at neighbourhood level. Doing so will be central to delivering on the wider aims of the plan. However, this presents major governance, operational and relational challenges. To better understand both these challenges and the opportunities neighbourhood prevention presents, we will be joined by Annie Bliss and Hashum Mahmood, who lead on integration and prevention respectively at the NHS Confederation; and by Chris Naylor, Senior Fellow at the King’s Fund. Over a ninety-minute session, each of Annie, Hashum and Chris will be sharing with us insights from their work around these themes and addressing your questions.
