Early Career Researcher Workshop & Network Meeting

Registration is now open for the next EPSRC Image-Guided Therapies UK Network+ triannual networking session, held at Governor’s Hall Suite, St Thomas’ Hospital.

Hosted by Network Director, Professor Seb Ourselin, the event will consist of the ECR Workshop which will run in the first half of the day, followed by the main Network+ Meeting which will feature keynote speaker Benoit Dawant (Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor of Engineering | Director, Vanderbilt Institute for Surgery and Engineering). In addition, the event will also cover the latest research updates from Network members and the IGT sector.

During the Early-Career Researcher Network Meeting we are offering PhD students and Postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to present their latest research to the IGT academic, clinical and industrial community and to highlight how it might impact future clinical practice. Delegates are requested to submit abstracts via email by Friday 01 February 2019 to the Network+ coordinator, Dr Rahima Begum, rahima.begum@kcl.ac.uk.

Places for the event must be booked in advance. Members can choose to attend the morning or afternoon sessions or the whole day proceedings but we do need this information in advance to ensure we don't reach capacity.

About the Network

The aim of IGT Network+ is to fertilise and enhance collaboration across UK IGT and promote relationships with industry and stakeholders with the ability to clinically translate IGT to realise patient benefits.

The network’s activities include tri-annual networking events, a planned partnership level seed funding program for proof-of-concept projects and early career mobility/secondments.

The diversity and complexity of IGT systems positions this domain as a critical field to advance the possibilities of physical interventions through a coordinated effort, discussion, road mapping and vision that can only be facilitated through the EPSRC UK IGT Network+.
