IMPARTS Seminar number 17, titled “Food and Mind”, will explore themes around weight, nutrition, eating disorders and mental health. It will be chaired by Professor John Moxham of King’s Health Partners and Dr Kate Moffatt, Head of Nutrition and Dietetics at South London and Maudsley NHSFT.

Speakers will include:

  • Professor Janet Treasure (Director of the Eating Disorders Unit) - Diabetes and Food Addiction - is there a connection?
  • Dr Simon Chapman (Consultant in Paediatrics and Bariatric Medicine) - Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders
  • Dr Wladzia Czuber-Dochan (Post-doctoral Research Fellow, Nutritional Sciences Department, Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine) - Food-related Quality of Life in IBD
  • Dr Fiona Gaughran (Lead Consultant in the National Psychosis Service and Director of Research and Development at SLAM NHS Foundation Trust) - Physical Health in Psychosis
  • Dr Victoria Lawson (Principal Health Psychologist at Talking Therapies Southwark) - Depression, Anxiety and Weight
  • Dr Marilia Calcia (Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist) - Diabetes and Mental Health
