Keynote Speaker: Professor Andrew Scott

It is well known that across the world the average age of a society is increasing. However, it is also the case that how we are ageing is changing. If the former creates economic challenges then the latter creates economic opportunities. In this talk, Andrew Scott will consider the relative magnitude of these two different factors, the implications that both ageing and longevity have for policy and what measures need to be adopted to maximise any longevity dividend.

Andrew Scott is a Professor of Economics at the London Business School, Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) as well as author of “The 100 Year Life – Living and Working in an Age of Longevity” http://www.100yearlife.com/. He is currently on the advisory board of the UK’s Office for Budget Responsibility, a member of the Cabinet Office Honours Committee (Science and Technology) and a co-founder of The Longevity Forum and Encore Fellows (UK).
