Join us for our launch event introducing the Innovation Development Award (IDA), a new funding scheme designed to accelerate the translation of King’s research into impactful technologies, products, and services.

The IDA supports projects at Technology Readiness Levels 4–7, helping teams overcome critical development barriers, such as:

• prototype refinement
• IP‑strengthening activities
• responding to funder feedback
• or validating solutions with users and stakeholders.

Funded through King’s Innovation Catalyst, the award provides up to £50,000 for projects lasting up to 12 months, with applications closing on 15 April 2026 (midnight).

The session will cover:

• what types of activities the IDA supports
• eligibility criteria
• reporting requirements
• available applicant support.

This award is open to King’s researchers across the university, looking to advance commercially promising innovation based on King’s IP toward future investment or external funding.
