Join us for the next Inter-University hackathon, hosted at the University of Greenwich, where you can get involved in helping find creative uses to reduce textile waste from football kits!

This is your chance to take on one of today’s biggest environmental challenges. From football shirts to fast fashion, tonnes of kit and clothing end up in landfills every year. We need fresh ideas, and that’s where you come in.

What’s a Hackathon?

Think of it as a high-energy, creative sprint. You’ll work in a team to design and pitch innovative solutions to a real-world challenge set by Pledgeball, the climate-action organisation empowering sports fans and clubs to take meaningful steps towards sustainability. Throughout the day, you’ll also get access to mentoring from industry experts in sustainability, football, and merchandise, including Crystal Palace and Firethread.

Why get involved?

  • Collaborate with students from across London
  • Build problem-solving and innovation skills
  • Present your ideas to industry experts
  • Win prizes
