'Interlace' - mindful textile jewellery

Learn to create intricately interlaced textile cords to make vibrant bracelets out of readily available materials with step-by-step plaiting & binding techniques. During this relaxing workshop, you will learn to hand-braid colourful textile threads to create a bracelet whilst learning about the practice of mindfulness.

Participating in craft activities encourages focus and concentration, and helps lower stress levels.

Make Do Play is produced by the university's culture team for the King's Cultural Community. This session is delivered by artist Tanvi Kant.

 

Artist Bio

Tanvi Kant is a contemporary textiles artist and jeweller exploring simple hand-constructed techniques in textiles & mixed-media. She has over ten years of experience in running workshops within a variety of settings including galleries, museums, education, women's charities, public spaces, and nursing and residential care homes. She encourages responding to and working instinctively with materials and colour, with a focus on experimenting to uncover a core personal language.
