We are excited to share the third lecture in the collaborative initiative under Medical Humanities between King’s College London and Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), Mumbai- “Intersections between Humanities and Science”.

This lecture series is conducted by professors from King’s and clinicians from TMC and explores the various dimensions of human experience in relation to its environment. It focuses on and highlights the interconnectedness of man with science and how those dynamics play out in evolution and progress of mankind.

The upcoming session titled Performance and the Medical Humanities will be delivered by Dr. Alex Mermikides, D'Oyly Carte Senior Lecturer in Arts and Health, based in the GKT School of Medical Education, King’s College, London. In this lecture, Dr Mermikides makes the case that performance, as both an artform and conceptual lens, offers productive ways of exploring medical experience and practice. The details of the hybrid talk including the link will be shared shortly. We would be grateful if you mark your calendars for this session on Tuesday 9 May 2023, at 12.30 pm (GMT).
