What: This online, live coding, Software Carpentry workshop will introduce you to Unix. Unix is a command line interface and language, and very useful as a way to automate repetitive tasks. If you intend to use Rosalind (high performance computer) you will need to use Unix for manipulating and organising files. The workshop will take place over two afternoons, the first will introduce you to files and directories, the second pipes and loops.
Who: The course is primarily aimed at PIs, postdocs and students who have no experience of Unix or coding.
When: Wednesday 27 May, 2-4pm and Wednesday 3 June 2-4pm.
The online workshop will be delivered via Teams. Successful applicants will be sent a link before the workshop.
