The vaccination roll-out around the world is providing hope for a return to normality. National economies must now balance the financial impact of ongoing containment measures to tackle the spread of the virus, with a need to restart economic growth. Knowing how challenging the last year has been, we look at what crucial obstacles lie ahead of us and what a recovery could look like.

As part of our King’s Experts Series, join us as we ask some of our leading academics: What can we learn from past experiences of economic collapse? Our panel will discuss what valuable lessons we can take from historical recessions, how long it can take to exit from a recession and what policies might help with this process.
