Helena Kennedy QC practises predominantly in the criminal law and has acted in many of the prominent cases of the last decade including the Brighton Bombing Trial, Guildford Four Appeal and a number of key domestic violence cases. She has been a prominent critic of the ways in which the justice system treats women. In 1992 she wrote the seminal Eve Was Framed followed in 2018 by Eve Was Shamed, exposing pressing evidence of women’s continued discrimination throughout the legal system.
