Law is undergoing a true revolution due to globalization and technology.

Legaltech is booming and new players and startups focused on legal technology are disrupting the industry in incredible ways, providing powerful opportunities for law firms, corporations, private and public institutions.

With the aim of connecting and fostering this global, legaltech ecosystem, the Law Schools Global League, The Professional Law Institute at The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London, and IE Law School have launched the Global Legaltech Venture Days.

What is the LegalTech Venture Day?

The Global Legal Tech Venture Day competition is in its second year and is intended to help identify and support those start-ups with the potential to positively impact the major challenges faced by legal operators—whether private or public—as well as legal systems. The ultimate aim being not only to discover key players and fresh ideas that are disrupting the sector, but also to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in different regions around the world.

Competitors are selected based on originality, financial viability and their ability to have a positive impact on major challenges faced by the legal sector. The competition takes place in 7 different country-wide heats and the winners from each heat will then be invited to Madrid to take part in an intensive start-up Acceleration Program with experts and mentors from IE Business School before competing against each other in the global grand final. The competition will also enable viable and creative legal tech start-ups to connect with key stakeholders and investors.

Working on a tech start-up?

If you are a startup working on developing solutions, improving substantially the normal operation of legal systems and actors—whether public or private—take part in this Legaltech Venture Day.
