Listening Between the Lines: Perspectives from the Fields (925-2075)
This roundtable will see four researchers from the Music Department at King’s each share a thought-provoking object, image or concept from their own work across different subfields of music studies – and spanning more than a millennium – to kickstart a lively discussion: about disciplinary continuity and change, scholarly attachments and the challenges and pleasures of attempting to listen between the lines. Organised by Emma Dillon and Gavin Williams, this event marks the end of Flora Willson’s final term at King’s and will be followed by a festive drinks reception.
The roundtable will be chaired by Professor Emma Dillon with contributions from Dr Andy Fry, Dr Gavin Williams and Dr Flora Willson.
