Meeting Point: Chapel of Thomas Guy, Guy's Campus

For hundreds of years, people of many different faiths have made pilgrimages to holy places. A pilgrimage can be a great way to connect with your faith and focus on spiritual matters, or even just clear your head. While it might be tricky to travel to distant locations at the moment, for Christians, London is home to a number of its own holy places.

We will be walking between holy places, starting at the Chapel of Thomas Guy on Guy’s campus. The route is about 5 miles, so bring comfortable shoes, but there will be plenty of stops on the way. This is a Christian pilgrimage, visiting predominantly churches and cathedrals. All are welcome, but if you would prefer a more secular approach, the first of our Spring Days Out is running the week after!

Covid-19 Mitigations: This event takes place predominantly outside, so we don’t think it is likely that we will have to cancel. It is possible that some of the churches we plan to visit will be closed, in which case we will still visit the outside – pilgrimage is as much about the journey as the destination! We ask that any attendees take a lateral flow or PCR test beforehand, and only attend if a negative result is received.
