An all-day educational meeting looking at advances in the application of big data to improve palliative care.

Big data analysis is transforming the healthcare research landscape worldwide. Technological advances in data linkage, natural language processing and statistical developments, are providing new opportunities for impactful research across health care settings, populations and disease groups.

In our third Michal Galazka International Study Day, speakers will present their research and discuss with the audience the implications and opportunities of routinely collected data for health care research.

The day will include sessions on:

  • Future challenges for big data used in healthcare
  • International collaborations in big data in end-of-life care research
  • Informatics and use of statistics
  • Experiences of data linkage and data analysis

Refreshments including a sandwich lunch will be provided. There will be an opportunity to network after the event with afternoon tea on the roof terrace.
