This month’s webinar will focus on the importance of mitigating malware and ransomware attacks. Ransomware attacks are on the rise and are affecting businesses across the world. In 2021, the global cost of these was $20 Billion, and this figure is expected to rise to $265 Billion by 2031. Recovering from a ransomware attack cost businesses $1.85 million on average in 2021.

During this webinar we will provide advice and guidance on how to reduce the likelihood of becoming infected, how to reduce the spread of malware through your organisation and how to respond and recover from attacks.

This presentation will focus on why it is importance for staff to have the relevant training to recognise an attack, and we will delve into the different ways in which attackers can gain access to our systems, we will observe a live demo of a ransomware attack in action and explore the measures which we can put into place to protect our organisations.

In particular, the following questions will also be addressed:

  • What is malware and ransomware?
  • How are attacks initiated?
  • Should you pay a ransom?
  • What are the key lessons from the live demo?
  • How can we prevent ransomware attacks?
