A launch event of a new report between King's College London and the Mongolia and Inner Asia Studies Unit, Cambridge University.

Mongolia occupies a key strategic position, between China and Russia. A vast country, with rich resources, and a maturing democracy since 1991, Mongolia is facing the same issues as it emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic as the rest of the world – the urgent need to manage the impact of global warming, economic turbulence from the surrounding world, the ongoing impact or Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and a list of internal issues from labour relations to inequality and governance.

This event, addressed by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for Border Ports of Mongolia, along with senior figures managing the Mongolia Britain relationship in the UK, will discuss the country's Vision 2050 and New Recovery Plan – core commitments to ensuring Mongolia’s development and prosperity in the coming decades.

It will mark the launch of a new joint policy paper between King's College London and Cambridge University, 'Mongolia, Challenges and Prospects in 2023.'
