Opening of Year Ceremony

The College Chapel, Strand Campus, London

25SepChoir of King's College London singing to an audience in the College Chapel, Strand

Join us for a vibrant multicultural celebration marking the start of the new academic year!

Held in the College Chapel on the Strand, this special event is led by our Dean, The Revd Dr Ellen Clark-King, and will feature an inspiring address from our Vice-Chancellor & President, Professor Shitij Kapur, and from a former Children's Laureate, best-selling author, and King's alum, Sir Michael Morpurgo FKC. Immerse yourself in a rich tapestry of music, dance, and performances that showcase the diverse cultures and traditions within our community.

You have the option to attend the ceremony in person in the Chapel, or watch a livestream online or at venues on our Guy’s and Denmark Hill campuses. Free refreshments will be served before the Ceremony in the Great Hall on the Strand campus between 1-1.45pm.

Come together with fellow students and staff to celebrate the beginning of the academic year, make new connections, and enjoy a memorable experience - we look forward to welcoming you and sharing this exciting start to the new academic year!
