As the Department of Geography turns 100, join us for an evening celebrating our researchers and fieldtrips.

This event will include screenings of three talks, which took place as part of the Pint of Science events earlier this year, and a chance to look round the best of Geography's student field trips exhibition.

The screenings will include talks on posh dogs and plastic grass, biological invasions, and stalking marine life for conservation

About Pint of Science

Pint of Science is an international science festival bringing researchers to their local pubs for 3 nights each year to share their latest research and stories with the public over a pint.

In May 2022, teams from King's Geography, IoPPN and St Thomas ran nine sold out Pint of Science events. These were part of a programme of 350 events attended by 12,000 people across the UK

About the exhibition

The annual fieldtrips have taken Geography students across the world to apply their studies and gain invaluable experiences of data collection. Since then, students have had the opportunity to visit a wide range of locations – from Hong Kong to Morocco, San Francisco to Spain.

The images included in the exhibition were chosen through our Best of the Geography Fieldtrips competition which took place earlier this year.

Celebrating Geography at 100
