About this Event

Carol Ann Duffy, multi-award-winning Scottish poet and playwright, one of Britain’s most popular and critically acclaimed poets, was the UK’s first woman Poet Laureate. Many of her poems have been set to music: she will read poems and some of them will be some by King’s College Choir directed by Joseph Fort, College Organist and Lecturer in Music.

Tickets for this event will be available in early December.

'Poetry and...' is a public event series curated by Professor of Poetry Ruth Padel. It highlights poetry’s connectivity to all areas of life and learning, from genetics to PTSD and the interpretation of dreams. The events are free and include refreshments, book-signing, and the opportunity to speak to authors.
