The Brazilian and Portuguese Embassies are delighted to announce a commemorative event for the International Day of Portuguese Language and Culture, which will be held at King's College London. The date will be dedicated to the celebration of the common linguistic and cultural ties which unite the nine members of CPLP, a community of nations whose official language is Portuguese. The event will include sessions introduced by ambassadors in which academics from King's College discuss Portuguese Studies in the United Kingdom. It will also include musical performances and readings from Lusophone authors.

This year's celebration comes as part of King's College's commemoration of the centenary of its Camoens Chair in Portuguese Studies.

The session is followed by a drinks reception from 18.00 to 19.00.
