About the Event

We invite you to join King's College Business School and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) as we host the sixth in our series of videoconferences exploring topics relevant to the future of the people component of defence and beyond.

Following the success of our previous videoconferences on Robotics and Automation, Leadership in the Future Workplace, and Human Augmentation (amongst others), we are pleased to bring you an hour and a half exploring the topic of People Analytics and the Future of People Management

Bringing together the People Futures Community of Interest which comprises stakeholders from the Ministry of Defence (including Dstl), civil servants across a range of Other Government Departments, interested academics and members of industry, this videoconference will stimulate discussion around skills in the workplace and how the nature of required skills may change over time.

We are delighted to be joined by Professor Dana Minbaeva from King's Business School and Christopher Petersen from the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

People analytics is about gathering and analysing data about people in a workforce in order understand how to drive change. The application of people analytics has clear relevance across all workplaces, and we are extremely fortunate to be joined by three speakers with varied perspectives on this field. The videoconference will provide an insight into people analytics from an academic, industry and Defence perspective. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions on the day, or please feel free to submit any questions you might have in advance of the event to the email address below.

To be added to the People Futures Community of Interest mailing list and receive the People: Horizons newsletters, please email DstlPOTRA@dstl.gov.uk.
