The inaugural seminar, given by Professor Deborah Saltman, has a specific focus on women working in research across science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). 

About Deborah Saltman 

Deborah’s advanced capacity for training health professionals in leadership and strategic management is underpinned by extensive experience in senior levels in corporate and government enterprise, medical and health research and senior academic management. 

She has written several articles and chapters on leadership and conducted workshops worldwide on leadership for health professionals at all levels from medical students to mid-career health professionals – recently for Imperial College, University College and Harvard University Medical School.  

Her high-level collaboration and consultancy with top-20 pharmaceutical companies is backed by her doctorate in health outcomes and 15 years working as a clinical physician.  

In 2004 Deborah was awarded an Order of Australia (AM) from HRH Queen Elizabeth II for services to women’s health and medical education.
