Join us for a Q&A with world-renowned author and former Children's Laureate, best-selling author, and King's alum, Sir Michael Morpurgo FKC.
Michael Morpurgo is former Children’s Laureate and best-selling author of over 150 books, including Private Peaceful, Kensuke’s Kingdom, The Butterfly Lion, and War Horse, which became a hugely successful National Theatre production and film by Steven Spielberg. Michael is co-founder with his wife Clare, of Farms for City Children, enabling children from disadvantaged communities hands-on experience of the countryside. In 2018, Michael received a Knighthood for services to literature and charity. The event will be hosted by Edmund Gordon, Reader in Creative and Critical Writing at King's; starting off with a conversation about Michael's life and work followed by questions from the audience.
