This year's Queer@King's Reading Group launches with a session dedicated to Cathy J. Cohen’s seminal ‘Punks, Bulldaggers and Welfare Queens: The Radical Potential of Queer Politics?’.

Join KCL's Jake Ferguson (they/them) for a discussion of this article, which is as hard hitting and relevant today as when it first appeared in 1997. Attendees are also welcome to pair this text with Cohen's follow-up reflection from 2019, entitled ‘The Radical Potential of Queer: Twenty Years Later’.

For more information or questions about the Queer@King's Reading Group, please contact jake.ferguson@kcl.ac.uk.
