ATR and ATM- mediated control of cell plasticity

ATR and ATM are the master regulators of the DNA damage response. Recent observations from our group implicate these two kinases also in the control of cell plasticity. While ATR is a key player in the mechanotransduction pathway controlling nuclear mechanics and integrity, ATM is involved in modulating cell stiffness. I will discuss the implications for ageing and cell migration.
