Three women, three regions of Peru, three stories affected by various geographies and climates. Eva, an adolescent girl awakening to her sexuality lives in the tropical climate of the Amazon. The story of Victoria, a wealthy yet unhappy woman carrying a tragic secret, is set in an overcast and grey Lima. Zoraida lives high up in the Andes and has seen all her children gradually abandon her and the region and move to the city. Completely alone, she struggles with her fears until she receives an unexpected visit. Well, climate does affect us all…

Three stories intertwine in this award-winning Peruvian drama directed by talented filmmaker Enrica Pérez. Climas tells the story of socioeconomic and climate divisions, led by three strong female protagonists. The screening, with English subtitles, will be followed by a panel talk featuring experts on Peruvian culture and film, hosted by Peruvian filmmaker Karoline Pelikan and Dr. Elisa Sampson Vera Tudela, Senior Lecturer in Latin American Studies at King's College London.

The screening is free. Due to a limited number of seats, we recommend booking your ticket(s) in advance, first 40 tickets include admission to Wine Reception sponsored by the Peruvian Embassy.
