Being Human Festival is the UK’s only festival of the humanities. It is led by the School of Advanced Study at the University of London, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy. Held in November each year, the nationwide festival brings together universities, museums, galleries, libraries, community and commercial partners to stage stimulating and engaging activities that make research accessible and relevant, strengthen community identity, and increase understanding of the relevance of the humanities to local and international issues.

For the first time this year, the Arts & Humanities Research Institute (AHRI) has been awarded joint hub status with Queen Mary University of London. The main Festival theme is Discoveries and Secrets and the hub theme is This Time it's Personal. The AHRI will support 5 events with 11 events in total between the hub. Two events will be held at King’s on Strand Campus with the remaining events held externally.
