Welcome to the Health and Social Care Workforce Research Forum

Nearly three million people work in health and social care in the UK, which means it is almost as large as retail as a sector in the UK economy. The Health and Social Care Workforce Research Forum is a new forum for discussion about this large and diverse workforce.

The Forum provides an opportunity for researchers, employers, workers, policymakers, and anyone with an interest in the area to gather together to discuss topics such as recruitment and retention, new types of worker, and career progression.

The forum is part of the work of the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health and Social Care Workforce in collaboration with Making Research Count. The Forum is co-ordinated by Jo Moriarty.

Forum meetings

Meetings will be held online four times a year and involve a presentation from an invited speaker followed by discussion. Meetings are free and open to all. Certificates of attendance are available on request.
