The Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy launched its Inaugural Lecture series in December 2014.

The Inaugural Lectures are given by new or recently promoted professors. They provide an occasion to celebrate not only the new professors' achievements, but also for them to present an overview of their own contribution to their field of cutting edge research and teaching innovation taking place within the Faculty, and highlight the latest developments in a discipline.

The lectures are opportunities to bring members of the Faculty and College together, as well as family and friends, and to engage a wider public interest in the topic.

The Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy has made major investments in new staff over the last few years, and many of these appointments have been at professorial level. The current programme of Inaugural Lectures reflects the strength and energy of social science and public policy research at King's.
