King's Academy's Lightning Lunch is a one-hour community-led online session that takes place every first Wednesday of the month. Now running for over five years, Lightning Lunches are open to everyone at King’s to attend.

In it, three colleagues from across King's volunteer 15-minute presentations on a range of topics, but with a focus on learning and teaching.

The purpose of these events is to provide an effective and accessible platform for staff to share their experiences and ideas, and to potentially influence practice for others in the wider King's community. The format helps foster connections and learning between colleagues from different faculties and departments, as well as a broad range of disciplinary experiences, offering them the chance to hear from individuals who they might not normally meet or collaborate with at the University. Lightning Lunches encourage collaboration, shared learning, inspiration, innovation and stronger community bonds across King’s.

Sessions take place online via Teams. Sign up via SkillsForge.
