The NMES Graduate School Virtual Open Events for prospective postgraduate research students will take place on 16th and 23rd November 2023.
The first session will involve a short introductory presentation delivered by the Graduate School Director, followed by an overview of the faculty's research activities and funding opportunities available to both home and overseas students. During this session you will have the opportunity to:
- Speak to some of our leading academics and current students.
- Learn about the Postgraduate Research opportunities available across our wide range of disciplines.
- Discover the NMES Graduate School and the support and training designed with our postgraduate research students in mind.
- Learn about funding opportunities available for PhD students.
The second session is designed to give you an overview of the application process and provide you with some hints and tips on how to write a research proposal and complete your application. During this session you will have the opportunity to:
- Get advice on how to write an eye-catching research proposal.
- Find out more about the application process and how to prepare an application that will stand out.
- Speak with our staff and current students and find answers to your questions about the application process before you apply.
You are welcome to submit any questions about our graduate programmes and the application process in our chat. They will be answered by some of our current students and staff during the sessions.
The sessions will take place virtually on Teams.
