The Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy launched its Inaugural Lectures in December 2014. The Inaugural Lectures are given by new or recently promoted Professors. They provide an occasion to celebrate not only the new Professors' achievements, but also for them to present an overview of their own contribution to their field of cutting edge research and teaching innovation taking place within the Faculty, and highlight the latest developments in a discipline. The lectures are an opportunities to bring together members of the Faculty, King's, the wider academic community and the public together.
The Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy has made major investments in new staff over the last few years, and many of these appointments have been at professorial level. The current programme of inaugural lectures reflects the strength and energy of social science and public policy research at King's.
