Our own Deaf lecturer presents an illustrated and videoed journey, with facts, about Sign Languages of the World, and how these differ from spoken languages in four distinct areas: - History, Linguistics, Vocabulary & Syntax (word order). We will see the values of Sign Languages in using spatial space and expression similar to the way we use spoken vocabulary to describe and our voices to convey emotion.
