Medical researchers from King's School of Life Course Sciences have been studying how Type 2 diabetes develops in the local black West African community.
In an exciting collaboration between art and science, a group of young artists have created pieces inspired by the data and imaging from this research. Their work seeks to counter the stigma and preconceptions which affect our understanding of diabetes.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 26 November to 1 December, 10:00 to 17:00.
The Soul-Deep Art Project is a collaboration between King's College London’s School of Life Course Sciences and local young people from South London. This project was supported by King's Culture team as part of the Collaborative Innovation Scheme for Early Career Researchers.
