Please note: this event has passed

In honour of this year's BHM theme 'Saluting Our Sisters', we'll be screening the film Hidden Figures (PG) which tells how brilliant African-American women working at NASA served as the brains behind the launch into orbit of astronaut John Glenn and so turned around the space race. The visionary trio - Katherine Jonson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe) – crossed all gender and racial lines to inspire future generations.

Spaces are limited, so make sure you book your place before the night. Please note this event is for Kings College London students and staff members only.

We want to hear your story!

Before the film there will be an opportunity to share your story. We invite Black and Minority Ethnic students to take part in this part of the evening by sharing their culture through spoken word, song or storytelling. If you don't feel comfortable speaking in front of a crowd, you can also share your story as a text, video or through another media form. If you would like to share your story, please fill out this form: https://forms.office.com/e/YtJd7SVjyx by Monday 16 October.
