We are delighted to invite King’s College London alumni to this exclusive virtual event launching the new Executive MBA programme from King’s Business School.

The Executive MBA is designed for ambitious senior managers and leaders who are motivated to tackle the grand challenges facing organisations, business and society. Applications will open in October 2022 to candidates with at least seven years of relevant professional work experience and a strong academic and professional background.

Continuing the university’s long tradition of bringing about change in society, the Executive MBA will bring together cutting-edge insights from across the breadth of King’s to educate talented leaders who will use business as a tool for good. As concepts such as responsible leadership, ESG and EDI move beyond simply buzzwords to major driving forces of success, our programme will build a community of leaders who will have an impact on their organisations and their own careers.

Join us to learn more about this exciting new programme and how it can support your leadership development. The event will include a taster session with one of the Executive MBA teaching faculty, and an introduction to the programme.

The taster lecture explores the motivating logics and emerging trends in corporate innovation, particularly how corporates engage entrepreneurial ecosystems, through accelerators, corporate venture capital funds, “venture builders”, and scale-up programmes. It shows that while the beginning of the 21st century saw a marked rise of corporation’s running arms’ length accelerators and campuses for entrepreneurial ecosystems in an “open innovation” spirit, there is now a shift towards deeper, more focused interventions with Schumpeter’s startup-led innovation. In the session we’ll examine what this mean for corporates, for startups, and for innovation systems more generally.
