It is estimated that in the UK alone, within the next 10 years one in three practising lawyers will be in-house lawyers. But the skills required to be an effective in-house lawyer differ from those lawyers are taught as part of their training. In particular, the lawyer becomes also a business partner and is not just an advisor – they are part of the decision and must “own” the decision.

We are delighted to welcome Jan Heiko Koehlbrandt, Associate General Counsel (EMEA) at the multi-national company Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM). Jan Heiko will talk about how in-house lawyers can become better decision-makers. He will also look at leadership skills and how to operate as an in-house lawyer in an international context.

The presentation will commence at 6pm and will last for 45 minutes followed by 30 minutes for questions.
